Jen Carney writes and illustrates contemporary middle grade fiction that’s packed with humour and heart.

A co-mum via adoption, she’s passionate about the representation of different family units in children’s literature.

Published in countries around the world, her debut novel, The Accidental Diary of B.U.G., was shortlisted for the inaugural Polari Children’s and YA book of the year, and won the Spark Children’s Book Award.

When not reading, writing or drawing, Jen enjoys eating peanut butter, painting, playing games and dismantling biscuits.
